Trying to Change TrackMat Setting

Hello there!

Scenario: I am currently trying to change a layer to an alpha matte. However, no dropdown menu is displayed in the Trkmat Column.

Question: How would I do get a dropdown menu to select which type of matte I need for my project?

Ideas: Is it something to do with toggles & switch modes? Must it be in a comp with multiple layers?

You need two layers to create a track matte. 1 is the fill layer (the lower layer) and one is the matte layer (the upper layer.

If there is no matte layer above the fill layer you can't select a track matte option.
