Trying to emulate en EQ from an old stereo

Question

Can someone give me an example of how to flatten the tops of my levels? I don't want them round. I have already masked the visualizer in order to add level colors. Is another mask going to be in order? If so, how?

The first thing that comes to mind is to add Mosaic to the stack of effects and set Sharp Colors to on and adjust the horizontal and vertical blocks. Here's a screenshot of your project file with my changes.

If you precisely size the solid layer used for Audio Spectrum you can accurately line up the number of horizontal and vertical blocks to create the bars you need for your display. Maybe a little glow or bevil alpha added could give you a very accurate representation of an old stereo display.
