Trying to export Premiere Pro clip to AE and getting error message

Yes, this has probably been asked but I can't see a post so can anyone help?

I have a clip from Premiere Pro that I want to export to After Effects to create a composition and replace it.

I try to export it and I keep getting a message after the wheel of death has been in operation saying "needs After Effects 2024".

I've clicked on the After Effects and it said I do have 2024.

Can anyone help and explain in instructions as if they are speaking to a toddler?  Thanks.

Are you still having the issue? Let us know.

I am moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for now.

Thanks,

Nishu

Aha, the classic switch if on and off again.  Yes, I have done.  Premiere Pro working fine on it's own, After Effects appears to be working in safe mode.

Have you rebooted your machine since installing AE 24 and PPro 24? It may be that there is an older instance of the dynamic link process that is still running if you have not.
