Hello! I have been using twixtor for quite some time now. Im an editor which means I make edits of popular TV shows and what not. Anyways, twixtor is essential when it comes to editing, at least for me. About 2 days ago, I open up AE and start to edit and thats when twixtor just stopped working..? I uninstalled and reinstalled it about 3 times and the same problem is recurring. What happens is I try to use the same settings I always use for smooth edits such as 7 or 8 frame rates, and I turn on motion sensitivity and that usually makes it look flawless. Now, it looks like I never even put twixtor on the clip even though I did. I tried messing with the settings and nothing works. Again, i uninstalled and reinstalled it 3 times and the same problem keeps happening. Please, someone help. I'm getting so frustrated because if it's not the program then it must be my computer. I really hope it isn't.

I'd make sure that you have the latest version. If you usually apply Twixtor directly to a clip try applying it to a solid and then reference the footage in the plug-in. That's how I always work because it seems to avoid a lot of problems. I haven't used Twixtor for several months, and I almost always use it on Image sequences or Raw video files if I have them. I've never had much luck with any kind of intraframe compressed movies (h.264, h.265, MPEG) and re-timing so if the source is compressed at all I'll make an image sequence from the shot or render to s suitable Mezzanine codec and use that for production.

    Good luck.

Thank you for the quick response, Rick. I’ll try your method. If it still doesn’t work, I’ll try to install the latest version. I really hope that’s the problem and not just my laptop.

Have you tried contacting RE:Vision Effects' support?

What happens if you open up older projects where it was working correctly?

Unfortunately, whenever i try to open up an old project, it always says I have missing footage. Whenever I add and keep footage on my desktop while i’m working on a project, nothing gets deleted until i move the footage to somewhere other than my desktop. So, there’s no way of knowing. But thank you for the quick reply!
