Two bugs doing very simple things

What version of the GPU driver are you using? Both issues could be related to the GPU. Install the latest Studio driver from the Nvidia website. If that doesn't help, try running After Effects in Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled and test on a new project.

Using AE 25.4.0 (Build 86)

• after pressing spacebar to play a comp, the play head will move about 5 frames then stops moving. Yet the clip still plays in the comp window. Pressing the spacebar again to stop the animation, the play head suddenly jumps to the point in the timeline where i pressed the spacebar to stop it. 
• None of the properties in the effects control panel update in real time. In order to see the values of animated properties at any given frame, I have actually click into the properties panel, then it updates. 
• I've already tried other hacks that people have suggested (like undocking panels, disabling multi-frame rendering, restarting computer, restarting AE)

The only assets in this comp is a text layer with a few glow effects. But this happens with every new project I create.

I'm using Windows 11, Intel Core i9 (3.2GHz), 64 GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 5080
