Type Along Path

Hi there I was hoping someone could help me with a problem that's driving me nuts. Ive created this animation before but for someone reason the type isnt following the whole path.

 

For example I create the type, create the circular mask the type will follow, but when I want to fill type round the whole circle it just creates another line instead of following the circular path.

 

I know this must be an easy solution but im at a loss on how to fix it.

You probably created a type area by dragging out a rectangle when you created the text layer, or you hit return. You won't get the type to stick to the path unless it is all on one line.
