Hi,
I am new to after effect, I want type arabic in after effect I change type to middle east. I have no problem when I make a document and type arabic on that, but when I want change text on premade titles it type on separate characters. how can I solve this problem?

Correct answer Carlos Ziade

double click on the premade text layer to select it, change the font before typing to any available Arabic font you have

then type your text.

I don't know how the template is structured, but what happens if you double click on a text layer that you made

and copy then double click on the premade text layer and paste there after changing the font to an available

Arabic font that you have ?

What, exact, version of After Effects are you using? In some more recent versions, they have improved support for ligatures, right-to-left languages, and more.

I use cc 2018, there is no problem with composition that made by myself but I have problems with others like premade titles.

Are you using your own fonts or are you using the fonts that come with the premade templates?

Many fonts do not include proper ligatures, so that may be the issue.

Hello,

I recommend you open the Preferences in Adobe creative cloud tool and then go to Creative Cloud tab. You check and change the language at App Language section to match your local language.
