Unable to change cursor back to typing vertically

Question

HI i feel so stupid but as long as ive been using after effects ive never had this happen. Today i oended AE and started working on a project and for some reason it took me forever to get the type tool working however once i did it was typing horizonatly for some reason and i havnt a clue after 30 minutes how to get it back to typing vertically if anyone could help id really appreciate it. Thank you.

Have you tried to click and hold on the Type Tool in the Tool panel?

As you click and hold, After Effects should present the Horizontal Type Tool (upper) and the Vertical Type Tool (lower).

Another way to switch back and forth is to use command T (macOS) or control T (Windows) keyboard shortcut.
