Unable to execute script at line 1. null is not an object

I have just got a new laptop from work - macbook pro running on Big Sur 11.6. I have installed after effects and I am trying to run ease-copy (a plug-in) on it. I keep recieiving 'Unable to execute script at line 1. null is not an object' as a warning and ease copy is empty. I've tried uninstallung after effects and reinstalling it as well as deleting the script and reintsalling that. The script works on several other computers too - any ideas on how to fix this?

I looked up Ease Copy, it's a script available on aescripts. You should really use their contact form to open a support ticket if you want a better answer than just speculation.

One cause of this issue can be Dropbox's Desktop Backup, so if you're using that it's worth turning it off then restarting AE.
