Unable to migrate clips from Premiere Pro since update

I updated to the newest versions of After Effects & Premiere, and since the update I can't copy edited clips from Premiere into After Effects.
I've looked it up, and the error message received (attached) usually happens when one of the two programs isn't on the same version. How could that be the case here, when both Premiere and Ae are the latest versions?
If anyone has any fixes, that'd be great. The same things happen when instead of copying the footage, I try to replace with After Effects composition.

Without any more specific info nobody can tell you anything. System info, details about the sequence/ comp, footage types and interpretation and so on. Anything from minor change in hardware-acceleration, color space handling and whatnot could be at play here. Of course this could also be as mundane as someone having forgotten to update the clipboard metadata. Anyway, impossible to even guess without more details.
