Unable to Open AE 25.x. AE 24.x works fine.

Unable to Open latest major release on my Laptop, whilst v24.x LTS works fine. Can you point me in the right direction as to where I may be able to pull log files to analyse further.

Just an update, when we try open via Adobe Creative Cloud, no respoonse whilst when we try open AE from the desktop or double click an AE file it opens up fine. Other apps in Creative Cloud Desktop for instance InDesign open up fine. Seems to be related to Creative Cloud Desktop somehow?

That's strange! Can you close the Creative Cloud desktop app and run it as administrator (right-click its icon and select Run as administrator)? If that doesn't help, try the steps in the following article: https://adobe.ly/45hL0nZ

Hi Sébastien,

 

Unfortunately no error message appears nor any splash screen. No response when I try open the application, however v24 LTS opens immediately. I haven't been able to run any v25 as yet.

I'm sorry you're facing an issue with AE 25.

I'm Sébastien, quality engineer on the AE team.

 

Thank you for your diagnostics file. I have a few quick follow up questions:

 

What happens when you try to open AE 25? Do you have an error message? Does the splashscreen show up? 

 

Have you ever been able to run any AE 25 version on it prior? Or has that issue appeared with a specific release of AE 25?

This will help me investigate further.
