Unknow exception when pressing P while changing font

Question

That's what i did:

Open after effects - make new composition - click on text tool - click on the composition to write - go to character window - click and press P to go directly to my font. It gives me this error and i have to force quit cause it does not go away. Font is not corrupted. Any clue?

Start by checking your fonts again. Sometimes other fonts than the one you intend to use are the culprit and things like outdated legacy fonts or those alternate pseudo-fonts generatred to accomodate foreign languages mess up the stemming function. Also check your system's language settings. Ever since AE got extended Unicode support it has become hyper sensitive to messed up region settings and the resulting use of different character sub-sets. Finally, flush your system's font cache. If that doesn't fix it than maybe it's indeed a bug.
