Unsupported filetype or extension (0;;1) error when attempting to import PSB in AE CS6

I get the Unsupported filetype or extension (0;;1) error when attempting to import PSB in AE CS6. The PSB is from Photoshop CS6 also.

It is in in RGB 8-bit.

I have tried many PSB files to see if size or amount of layers was a problem, but all PSB give me that error.

I was thinking that it might be a setting problem in my AE project...?!

Anyone got any ideas ?

Thanks

AE never supported PSBs since a PSB can contain an image larger than AE can even handle and a ton of other data that AE can't process. You have to use PSD.

What would be the alternative? Should I export in TIFF with layers or Photoshop RAW to be able to get it to AE ?

First, size the original so it is compatible with your video project. The image should be at or near 100% scale somewhere in the composition. Second, save as a Photoshop file to preserve layers or save as any other standard image format to merge layers.
