I think your particle layer is too small. We can not know without a screenshot that shows the entire UI with the modified properties of the problem layer. Press the 'u' key twice, take the screenshot, then drag the screenshot to the reply field on the forum.

    Are you able to post a screen shot of the layer stack in that Timeline as well?
