Update has started uninstalling my plugins EVERY SINGLE TIME

The last three times I have updated, After Effects has installed two of my largest plugins (Superluminal Stardust and Element 3d) forcing me to go through the tedious process of reinstalling.

 

Why? This hasn't previously been an issue. Now, when I NEED TO WORK RIGHT NOW I am instead, reinstalling plugins.

 

Creative Cloud has been here since 2011. Why is this an issue again?

    It's possible the plugin is being installed into the app version specific plugin folder instead of in the cross-version folder. If that's the case, then a new version of AE may not find the previously installed version of the plugin. 

     

    Do you know where the "missing" plugins are being installed to?
