Notification cards across the UI interface that show what's new in the version make the program slow and unstable... and they keep coming back...

I went back one version and the program now works perfectly, I couldn't deal with that problem anymore...
every time they would appear, soon the program would become unstable and after restarting the same messages would appear even though I had already confirmed them as read...

Glad to hear that the previous version works. Try disabling coach marks in the preferences as suggested by Warren when you update/install the new version.
