Updateing to 17.6 from 2020... no option to keep previous version?!

Trying to update today, but when I click on update, I get no option to either keep or remove previous version.
I do when I update AI or Media encoder, but AE just starts plowing ahead without asking.
Thoughts?

So I asked the CC forum and my hunch was correct. Since Adobe's policy change to only allow users one previous version to be intalled they've removed the setting from the preferences to do so and instead only give he option to keep your version when installing a major version update. You can revert back to the previous (or any) incremental update of the currently installed version but doing so will overwrite what you have installed. The short: You cannot have two increments of the same AE version installed simultaineously, only the current and previous major versions. Unless maybe you try to install the other update on a second machine.

What version are you updating from? 16.3 is the last "previous version". Unless you're updating from that you are not installing a new version you are installing an update to the current version.

AH! That might be the issue. I am at 17.0.6

However, it has the old camera tools, and I am hoping to keep both it, and the newer version...
Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
