Upgrading my pc specifically for AE

Hi i currently have a couple of hundred euro saved up, and i am looking to spend it on upgrading my pc for after effects, however i don't know what i should get or even if i should get a new computer entirely, i've tried searching it but got mixed results. any thoughts? just in case it's needed i have 16gb ram, an nvidia geforce gtx 1650  Intel Core i5-9400 CPU/processor, windows 10 64 bit, and a bitta space.

Just do your regular AE work and have an eye which ressource is running low. Check them via Task Manager.

 

If RAM is full all the time, get more. If CPU is high during rendering, consider an upgrade. If you are working a lot with GPU plugins, get a faster card.

 

AE does benefit from a lot of RAM and high CPU clock count. CPU cores and GPU is less important. Also it's pracital to put AE cache on a SSD.

With 16GB installed, you can asign more to AE. From the screenshot, it looks like 8GB are asigned to AE. Raise to a bit, like 12 or 14 GB.
