Urgent: Need help downgrading an AEP file from v24.6.4 to v18 (CC 2021)

Question

Hello community, 🙂 I am in a big rush and working on a restricted PC, so I cannot update my software right now. I need to open a 26 MB project file created in After Effects 2024 (v24.6.4), but my local version is CC 2021 (v18).
Could someone with AE 2024 please open it and save it as a copy for CC 2023, and then from 2023 save it as a copy for CC 2021? I would appreciate it infinitely.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out!The expert’s suggestion should work! Since I already have the older versions installed, I went ahead and saved a copy you can open in After Effects 2021. I’ve attached it here.Let me know how it goes.Thanks,Nishu

I’m not at my PC right now so can’t help, sorry. But from any current version of AE, i think you can weave the project as XML and it should open in older versions.
