Use slider to cycle background options

Recently Adobe released the essential graphics panel. In the demo they have sliders that can cycle through background options or different text layouts. I assume that it is some sort of expression that changes the Main Comps focus of a pre-comp as a background, but I am not sure how to write that expression. I have searched to no avail.

Does anyone know how to set this kind of slider control up?

probably an expression that connects to each of the precomps opacity. so if the slider shows "1" then this precomp is 100% opacity, other number than that means its opacity is 0%. here's davidarbor explaining how it's done: Re: Cannot use Motion Graphics Demo 2017 in AE
