Using an adjustment layer with a track matte

I have a track matte to mask out a layer, but I'd also like to add an adjustment layer to adjust the curves for that layer only.

 

But the curves layer affects every layer below it... if I move it underneath the track matte then the track matte stops working.

 

Is there a way around this?

Maybe selecting the adjustment layer and the layer that you'd like to adjust the curves on and precomposing them. Then doing your changes in the precomp would help.

Duplicate your Graphic layer and use it to track matte the adjustment layer

    Maybe selecting the adjustment layer and the layer that you'd like to adjust the curves on and precomposing them. Then doing your changes in the precomp would help.
