I have a after effects 2018 cc project. I want to render it using Media Encoder 2018. I have 2 computers with and want to use both of their resource. Can anyone tell me how to render my project in mp4 using network rendering which takes power of both pc (render farm)?

MP4'a have to render a frame at a time so you can't use Multi Machine rendering for that kind of task unless you have some very specialized hardware/software combinations. The AE network rendering is limited to a few mezzanine codecs and image sequences.

You can cut the movie up into pieces and send each part to a different machine and then have those parts stitched together when the render is done by using a new product for AE called Render Garden. I'm using it for a most of my renders now. Check out the informational videos at the bottom of the product page and if you decide to try it and it works for you, you can thank my friend Matt Silverman and his friends for their amazing work. I'm cutting most of my render time by about 70%. I am not using it on multiple machines yet, just utilizing all but one of the cores on my main machine. Leaving one core so I can continue to work in AE while things render.

Thanks You very much. I will definitely look into Render Garden. Can you tell me how did you utilise all cores of your machine? I have observed that my CPU usage is very low while rendering.

RenderGarden runs multiple instances of After Effects in different command line windows. Once you add enough, the full resources of your machine will be utilized. (Add too many any you may bring your machine to its knees.)

That's a pretty involved question. This was the tutorial I used when learning how to do that. Workflow for multimachine network rendering | After Effects | lynda.com - YouTube

There may be another way to do it but this is a Lynda.com tutorial and I can assure it works.

Thanks I will try to do it.
