Using output modules to crop different areas of the same comp

I'm having a problem with cropping using output modules. I have set up a comp that I want to be divided into 4 different sections. I used output modules to crop the areas that I need rendered. When I add a comp to the render queue and add all 4 output modules with different crops to the same comp, I get crazy results. The content in two of the sections gets smashed into the top half of the video and a weird green color left in it's place. However; if I duplicate the comp in the render queue and add 1 output module to each comp being rendered, the crops in the output modules all work as they should. Is this a bug? Am I overlooking something?

I'm on a macbook pro M1 Max running Monterey. Using AE version 23.2.0
