I recently got After Effects and I was trying to understand some  of the techniques that are used in after effects. I  imported the audio and placed it into the timeline. This is when started getting the problem. Whenever i previewed the clip, the audio pitch would change  by itself.  I have tried Clearing cache but it was no different. I checked youtube and a few other sources to see if i could fix it but the audio pitch keeps on changing. Thats when i  decided to contact adobe, Thats when it finally work but only for a few hours. I'm really confused on what to do because I don't want to be speaking to adobe every few  hours to get this problem fixed.

OS =Macintosh

Graphics Card = Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB

RAM= 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

PS i was using a .mp3 file as well

Is the video playing full speed when you are previewing it? You can keep an eye on the info panel when you play. The first pass may be rendering it in to memory and playing more slowly but then should play properly the 2nd pass.

You can give us all the technical details of your Mac please, this usually happens when you do not have a very powerful computer.
