Vector shape changing color, gradiant to flat and mixing shapes when converting as 3D layer.

Created two shapes in a single layer inside After Effects. When converting as 3D layer color is changing gradiant to flat color. Mixing two shapes like zig zag shape and looking like two layer marging in each another.

Sample attached.

After Effects version: 24.5 (Build 52)

System: Mac Book Pro

Chip: Apple M3 Max

macOS: Sonoma 14.5

Memory: 128 GB

Not sure what you are asking. Gradients are simply not supported and you would have to fake the texture and the checkerboarding is simply due to lack of depth separation. Simply offset the layers ever so slightly. You may want to read the online help on what actualyl works and what doesn't.

You can play with the lights to achieve the look similar to what you had with the gradient.

Hope it helps. Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions.

Thanks,

Hi Nishu,

Thanks for reply.

Play with light can be possiable. But I prefered to import same required vector shape created in illustrator. Another software use also an option. But you can't ignore this issue. I am sharing same kind of example created in previous AE version 24.4 in my old MacBook. You can see two gradient shapes in a single layer and that 2D layer converted into 3D layer. And no changes are there.

Thanks
