video and audio not syncing after split

so i split a video and deleted a portion in the middle that i didn't want, but now the audio is lagging. its not synced with the clips i have

Did it sync before you split it? Can you try importing the media in a new comp and see if the audio and video sync? Also, please make sure that the frame rate of the composition matches the frame rate of the media.
