It's probably also worth checking to see if your video card driver needs an update. Worth eliminating as a variable, at least.

If you changed Animation to H.264 you are using the H.264 Quicktime format. Apple never did a good job supporting that, it never was reliable, and Adobe pulled it completely from the Output Module options several versions ago. There is about a 99% probability that trying to render an h.264 Quicktime is the source of your problem.  That's what I mean about being an expert in video formats you should not be messing with the defaults.

I changed it back to the default settings yet it's still has that glitch and I updated my video card driver but still no luck.

I have this problem too (as seen in the picture). This occured twice usually during keyframed transitions. I'm wondering, does the composition resolution play a part in this? I didn't do much to the render settings except change "animation" to "H.264".

As Rick so diplomatically put it, if you don't give us the information to help us help you, what on God's Green Earth do you expect?  A miracle or something?

FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?

I'm guessing that you set up some custom render settings. Without details, it is pretty difficult to diagnose this kind of problem. Try rendering using the standard templates. Pick one that matches your frame size. If you are using the Adobe Media Encoder and you are using Ray-traced rendering that could be the source of your problem. If you just used the Render Cue and the default Lossless format it is highly unlikely that your rendered video will playback smoothly.

Provide workflow and rendering details and we will be a lot better equipped to help you fix the problem.
