Video preview looks green in after effects when i switched the Video Rendering and Effects to Mercur

so, the preview of a video appears to have a green cast when the Video Rendering and Effects setting is switched to Mercury Software Only. i can't use the Mercury GPU Acceleration (CODA) because i have a 2gb gpu that maxes out all the time.

any help would be appreciated
