Video quality gets worse when uploaded to web

I have tried multiple ways to get my video great quality.  1080 HD for instance.  Then when I upload it to Google Drive the quality is no better then 360.  I have worked with technical support and I still cannot figure it out.  I use a DJI Mavic Air 2.  I use 1080 to 2.7k to film.  Please help me with any info you have.

You need to download the original source file, not the preview Google Docs generates for conveninence. That's just how this stuff works. Of course if you keep on previewing it on Docs without enforcing the use of the source file this will never change. Would be no different on other cloud services.

I was just coming on to say the same thing, but there is a way to force download on Google drive.  When you get the share link, copy the file ID,

https://drive.google.com/file/d/FILE_ID/edit?usp=sharing

and use it in this format:

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=FILE_ID

This should send the file to the browser for download.

Hi default2mwnn5vf6gzt,

Thanks for writing in.

If the video quality is as expected in the export, I'd recommend you contact Google Drive support. It's possible that the video is getting compressed while uploading or the video player on Google Drive is not supporting the video properly.

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Nishu
