Warning: Unknown Exception Ruining My Workflow, Making This Program Unusable

After effects interrupts every 5 seconds or so to tell me "Warning: unknown exception" - This basically makes the program unusable. I have tried everything online as far as clearing media cache and fonts and nothing works. Anyone else experienced this and actually solved it?

Thanks

Without any system information and other details liek the contents of your project, settings for hardware acceleration, caches and multiframe rendering and so on we can't tell you much. From configuration issues to specific problems with items or effects used in your project this could be anything.

Hi, here are the specs:

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro16,1
Processor Name: 8-Core Intel Core i9
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 8
Memory: 32 GB

Storage: 1TB SSD

AE Project Settings:

Mercury GPU Accelleration Metal

Multi-frame rendering enabled

Media Cache recently cleared, 50GB allotted

I am trying to make a simple animation from layers from an illustrator file which I imported as a composition. I've followed this workflow hundreds of times so just confused why I keep getting this error. I've expanded all text (after clearing font book), gotten rid of transparencies and gradients, replaced complex vector objects with PNGs... I'm out of ideas.

Thanks,

Bren
