Wavy line, that's fixed at one end.

Question

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find a way to have a line waving and wiggling, at random, but one end of the line is still, or fixed in place.

Imagine a string tied to something, and blowing in the wind.

Everything I find seems to make the whole line wave/wiggle. Any ideas?

Create a simple linear mask path, use the respective scripts to create attached Nulls, apply a stroke effect and wobble it up with Turbulent Displace or copy&paste the path to a shape layer to use path modifiers. Move one of the Nulls around to create the illusion. Likewise, could old Beam effect still is there and of course you can tweak the Lightning effect as well to look more wavy and smooth.
