What Ae version, if any, can work properly on my Mac 10.15.6 version. Memory 8GB?

I am working with a Mac 10.15.6 version, Processor 1.8 GHz Dual-Core intel Core i5, Memory 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 and I have been having the worst lag time using Ae 2020. Is it possible to get an earlier version that will work properly without so much lag time or should I try a different software all together?

Welcome to the Comunity and sorry for your issue.

After Effects versions that are available to download require a minimum 16 GB RAM. Sorry, the older versions can not be downloaded anymore. I'd recommend updating your computer. https://helpx.adobe.com/in/after-effects/system-requirements.html
