What's the most efficient way of sharing a dynamic linked AE/PR project?
I'm wanting to find out what's the best way of sharing a dynamically linked project with Premiere Pro and After Effects.
I tend to work on projects then upload them to a Dropbox folder colleagues have access to. They sometimes are required to do edits to project.
I tend to have a main folder that contains all the assets, storyboards and anything else related to the project and then within that folder have a sub folder which contains my dynamically linked AE files and Premiere Pro project file.
When I've finished working on the project and come to upload it to Dropbox I find that if I do the usual 'collect files' it collects all the assets used in my AE projects and drops them in a new folder with a new saved version of the AE project. However the Premiere Pro is dynamically linked to the original AE project file. So when someone comes to open the Premiere Pro project it will be pointing to the wrong AE files.
Is it best practice to collect files before you create your Premiere Pro project so the dynamic link is pointing to the correct AE files or when using dynamic link and sharing the project will the colleague always have to reload the AE files when they're uploaded to Dropbox?
