When i try to preview my footage it only makes a tiny green bar and then the playhead wont move at all so i effectively cant render my video, i cannot use the software because of thist i have tried everything nothing seems to work

...and if NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Hi, sorry you're stuck on this. To help figure out what's happening, could you share:

1. Your exact AE version and your system specs.

2. What specifically have you tried already? That'll save us both time so I don't suggest the same steps.

3. Does the issue happen with all projects, or just a specific one? What about with a brand new project?

4. Does the playhead stay stuck when you try to just scrub manually, or is scrubbing fine and only the automated preview fails?
