When opening the Menu on Windows 11, the application freezes and hangs for a few minutes.

I have tried to the most recent and the rolled back version of AE and the problem presists since I finrst installed the program.

I am unable to open the first section of the pull down menu, the section where we save, save as.. without the application hanging. The computer will eventually respond but I can only save with shortcuts. Any ideas?

What's the version of After Effects you're using? Does it help if you close the Character panel?

Without exact system info nobody can tell you much. From permission issues with default folders to graphics driver problems this can be anything.
