whenever i use null object it shows black screen

As suggested by the experts, please share the following details so that we troubleshoot the issue properly.

• What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)?
• What's the exact version of After Effects you're using?
• A screenshot (uncropped) of the After Effects interface would help.

As already pointed out you have to provide much more information, beginning with actual screenshots and system info. As a non-rendering layer type a Null object shouldn't affect appearance at all.

What are you trying to do with the null object? Is your timeline indicator over the image or video? Usually the null object just has a red box with an anchor point. We need more information.
