Question

Where to place first Position keyframe?

I have a simple animation that consists of an image rotating. After it rotates several times I would like it to move. Should I be placing a Position Stopwatch/keyframe at the very beginning of the timeline along with where the rotation starts, or do I just place the starting Position stopwatch/keyframe wherever I want the movement to start?

Thanks

Place the first Position key frame whenever you would like the change in position to start.  With no key frame before the first key frame, there will be no key frame interpolation for Position as the Current Time Indicator approaches the first key frame and therefore no position change before that time.

Position change after the first key frame depends on what key frame interpolation you set up spatially and temporally between the first key frame and the second key frame.

Click the  position stopwatch at the beginning , move the timeline indicator and click diamond between the right and left arrows to create a keyframe where you’d like it to start moving, move the timeline indicator again to where you’d like it to stop moving and move the image to the stop point on your screen.
