White Glow around feather (with transparency)

I am trying to export as "Essential Graphics" and it seems like it does not support transparency gradients. Why is there a white glow around the feather? This occurs not only when exported as Essential Graphics, but also if I deactivate my test background in the original AE file. With a background, the transparency is displayed correctly. Does anyone know a fix?

I found out it was a layer set to color mode, which caused the effect. I now did the feather seperately in photoshop.

Nothing to do with EG. It's how AE treats Alpha in general. It's not linear and two times 50 % doesn't make 100%. Fix it by tweaking the feather and opacity values or switch the blending mode to Alpha Add.

Thank you for your help 🙂 Playing with transparency does not do much, since I cant go too transparent. Are there other feather values than the mask-pins dragging? Alpha Add also does not change too much..
