White space/Lag on Image Sequence

Hi, I rendered out an animation as stills from C4D and have imported it into After Effects as an image sequence. Making the frame rate of the image sequence the same as the rendered animation stills in C4D. However it plays with some lag? eg white sort of ghost of objects as they pass or outlining them (not sure how to describe). When I rendered the same stills as animation from C4D this doesn't happen.

Does anyone know what the problem is? I am new to image sequences in AE so could be missing something simple.

Thank you ,
Emily!

Check file interpretation in the Project Panel. The default is 30 fps. Make sure it matches the comp frame rate precisely.

If that does not solve the problem then try and create a new comp from the imported image sequence directly from the composition Panel and see if that works. You should get a perfect frame by frame sequence. If that does not work then check the Advanced settings for the Composition (Ctrl/Cmnd + K) and makes sure that the shutter phase is correct.

If none of that helps we need screenshots with the modified properties of the layers that are giving you problems. Just select the layer, uu, then PrintScreen and Paste to the forum or drag an image to the forum so we can see what is going on.
