Why all imports (.mp4, Quicktimes, Apple Pro Res, etc) come in After Effects as .AVI???

I've been having an issue after updating to After Effects 2021.  All exports from Premiere come in as .AVI.

It doesn't matter what format I choose.  I am afraid I am mix and matching formats and lower the resolution of my edit.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Impossible to know. You have not offered any info about actual settings, your system and so on and of course a screenshot would help a lot, also.
