Why aren't my lines showing?

I'm relatively new to Adobe After Effects. What I want my project to do is simply cross out "$100 value" with animated red lines, but for some reason, my red lines aren't showing at all. Please help!

    If you want to draw a line simply use the pen tool instead (you can find it in the top left corner of After Effects between the square and the T).
