Why does my video look darker in After Effects?

Hello! I have been using AE for a long time and never found a solution. 

When importing any video to AE it looks darker, no matter the color profile settings, I have tried sRGB, Rec709. Then when exporting, the final output file mp4 looks fine, same as the source video.

So my question is, Why does AE make the video darker? what if I want to do a Lumetri Color Retouch in AE? or any retouch. Color displayed is not accurate.
