Why I can't hear any audio in my video via IMAC ?

Hi all, any kind souls that can guide me ?

I tried to edit a video template in adobe after effects 2020 via IMAC and there wasn't audio. I tried multiple files and I still didn't get any audio.

Under my Audio Hardware tab, there is only the default option.

Please help !

Can you please post a full screenshot of your interface showing the timeline? There's not a lot of detail here, so I have to ask, is there actually an audio layer in your timeline? If so, is the speaker icon showing on the right of the layer number and eyeball in the timeline?

Is there supposed to be audio in this template? Many templates will have audio in their promo videos, but don't actually include the audio because the track isn't the author's to give away.
