Why is my program frozen on interpret footage

I just downloaded after effects today and I was starting to edit with it and play around, I hit interpret footage by accident. I can't get out of it or do anything else behind it. I also can't quit the application it's frozen. I even deleted after effects off my computer but it still will not quit or let me restart my computer because it's still running. Am I the only one this has happened to before or can someone else offer help?
