Workflow for 3D Animations with Adobe
Hello and thank you for your time,
I cannot seem to establish a workflow for 3-D animation using Adobe CC. Which file types import/export to each Adobe product to establish a workflow? I'm posting on After Effects because it seems to be the glue for pulling in 3D assets/animations and outputting.
My goal is to:
(1) create/buy/modify 3D horses and jockeys. (i.e. CGTrader, ZBrush)
(2) then, animate them with different camera angles and backgrounds to simulate a real horse race.
The final output is video; but, I'd love to use Adobe products for interactive 3D animations as well. I've been an Adobe subscriber for many years, so I understand the CC suite outside of 3D animation. Last month's Adobe Max set me on fire and I'm eager to dip more than my toe into the 3D animation world.
This is what I have researched and/or played with so far:
1) Adobe Fuse Character Creation pulled into Photoshop or uploaded to Mixamo
2) Adobe After Effects using Cineware AE (Cinema 4DLite seems too limited for my purpose... am I wrong? )
3) Adobe Animate: No true 3D animation support.
4) Adobe Character: I've designed in 2D with this but not 3D
5) Adobe Dimension: Has 3D potential, but does not have the animation capabilities
I am upgrading a series of animated races that were created in 2D using Flash/Premiere/Encore in 2008.
