Zoom Tool - Option Zoom Out gone?

Hello everyone,

In most apps you can zoom in and with alt / option klicked, you can zoom out. Suddenly in 2020 a camera tool is active when pressing alt / option?! 

Why? What happened? What am I missing?

You can bring back the zoom shortcuts by going to Preferences > 3D and turn off "Activate Option - Left / Middle / Right Mouse Click For Camera Navigation".

    Man, can´t tell you how happy that made me. Cheers for that. But why did this change anyway? To make people aware of new features? Isn´t there a better way instead frustrating us?

    I understand that it's frustrating!! It wasn't intentional 😖

    This is a bug in After Effects 17.5 where the new camera tools have overwritten the behavior of other tools when you hold the Option/Alt key. It will be fixed in the upcoming version of After Effects.


    If you want to try the upcoming version ahead of time, you can install the beta version by going to the Beta apps section of the Creative Cloud desktop app and install After Effects Beta, build 17.5.1×41 or later.
