Access "Mesh type" for ParametricMeshLayer via scripting?

Is there a way to access the "Mesh type" property(?) of the new ParametricMeshLayer (Cube, Sphere, Plane etc)? I tried but can't find a way.

Seems like all properties are availible already just not the "type". The dropdown seems nested somehow in the PropertyGroup.

I believe there's lots of use cases. Can't see why the type would not be just a property (like width, depth etc).
