AE Beta very slow playback and rendering M1 Pro

Hello, I'm using Macbook Pro with M1Pro chip and both rendering and playback is very very slow. Just previewing a simple png image sequence in Quarter resolution with no effects on it is choppy and plays it in like 5 fps. Why is that happening? I used an older 2014 mac and it was working much better.

    Hi @dariuszr59042310,

     

    Thank you for reporting this issue. Is the playback slow in all composition and projects, or only in the composition containing a PNG sequence? If possible, could you share the following information about your system and preferences:

    • What version of macOS are you using?
    • Is After Effects (Beta) running natively or under Rosetta emulation? This is determined by the "Open using Rosetta" checkbox in the Get Info panel revealed by right-clicking Adobe After Effects (Beta).app and choosing "Get Info".
    • Is playback also slow in the release ( non-Beta ) version of After Effects which runs under Rosetta emulation?
    • What are the color depth and video rendering settings for your project?
