After Effect beta version

Hi everyone, it's my first post here

Ok so i've seen that there are now tapered strokes in the beta version of after effect and I was really waiting for this.

I have a big project to do and i could really use A LOT this functionality, so my questions are : how safe it is to work on the beta version ? will my project file be compatible with the next after effect version ? and do you have any rough idea of when this is coming live ?
