After Effects AI Assistant panel does not load — only the star icon appears

I’m using After Effects (Beta) 27.0.0 (Build 37) on macOS.

When I open Window > Assistant, the Assistant panel opens, but it remains on the star icon and the prompt bar never appears. Waiting several minutes does not change anything.

I have tried the following:

• Restarted After Effects (Beta)
• Closed and reopened the Assistant panel
• Tested in a new empty project
• Started After Effects in Safe Mode and tested again

The issue is the same in all cases.

Creative Cloud is signed in with my Creative Cloud Pro account. Adobe Firefly works normally in Chrome, including the Firefly AI Assistant (Beta).

Is there anything else I should try, or is this a known issue with the current After Effects Beta?
